Campus Work Day, Jan 7, 9-12

Join us at UUCPA this Saturday, January 7, 9 am-noon (or whenever you can come) for the UUCPA Work Day – Help fix up / spruce up the campus. We will focus on indoor and sheltered tasks since it is forecast to be breezy and damp outdoors.  Light bulb ballast replacement in the Fireside room. No plans for gardening.  Maybe a good chance to re-assess the downspouts and gutters!  Tabulate the GHG appliances, and identify LED replacement of fluorescent tubes.

Hot Chocolate and snacks at end of the workday in the fireside room.  No potluck this month.Questions:  Contact Robert Neff for questions about the workday.

Kindness Rocks! Rock painting on Jan 1

Painting rocks as a spiritual practice of art, beauty, and kindness. We’ll gather to paint rocks together on January 1st after the service (approx 11:30 am)

We’ll set up outdoors on the patio if the weather favors it, inside Room 6 if not.

Winter Solstice Service – Dec 21

Main Hall & online, 7:00 pm. Join us on this longest night of the year! Our simple ceremony lasts under an hour, and is followed by abundant food – (cheese, dips, pies, nuts.) and hot mulled wine and hot cider. Just come – food provided. Our solstice ceremony includes meditative music, readings, and all of us lighting candles to celebrate the return of light. This year we return to holding our Solstice Ceremony in person in the Main Hall, although of course, we conclude by burning a yule log outdoors in our fire pit. Children and adults are welcome.
