Second Sunday Lunch, Jan 14 – Chinese themed food

Join us for Second Sunday Lunch, a home-cooked, nutritious, delicious food for a very reasonable donation. We go through the buffet line in the Fireside Room and eat in the Main Hall or outdoors, weather permitting. If you’re new or visiting, be our guest.
This month is our Chinese-themed meal – freshly fried rice, and some fine selections from Costco!
Mains and sides including: Fried Brown Rice – Onion, Carrots, Peas, Tamari Sauce, Oil, egg, White Rice, Orange Chicken (contains wheat, contains dairy (whey solids)), Coconut Shrimp  (DF, contains wheat), Egg Rolls (vegan, DF, contains wheat), Steamed Broccoli, Sautéed Mushrooms, Sriracha Hot Sauce (optional!)
Salad Bar including: -Baby Spinach -Romaine Lettuce -Mandarin Oranges -Slivered Almonds -Olives -Garbanzos -Red Onion
Dessert
And as always Light wheat bread, peanut butter, and jelly available on the side.
We want you to stay for lunch, and we welcome new volunteers!  Come to the kitchen anytime Sunday after 9 am and we will find a job for you. Drop-in clean-up help after lunch is also welcome. Some volunteers help on most second Sundays; others help occasionally. Stop by on Sunday or contact Edie if you would like to join us in the kitchen.

SciFi/Fantasy Discussion Group Next Meeting — Jan 17 –“Childhood’s End” by Arthur C. Clarke

Hello SciFi/Fantasy Fans, our next meeting is January 17, 7-8:30, on Zoom. We’ll discuss the novel Childhood’s End, by Arthur C. Clarke, a classic from 1953.

The UUCPA website has the Zoom information. All are welcome. We assume that you’ve read the book.

At the end of the meeting, we will choose a book for our March meeting.
