Description:

A class based on Katy Butler’s book, the Art of Dying Well. This is an incredibly practical and wise book on the stages of aging. Come whether you’ve read the book or not. We will hit highlights together and have a facilitated discussion led by Melissa Thomson, a palliative care chaplain who has first-hand knowledge of the ways people meet the middle and later stages of life with zest and gusto, living well while living with the challenges of aging.

The Art of Dying Well: A Practical Guide to a Good End of Life, By Katy Butler

From the publisher’s site: This “comforting…thoughtful” (The Washington Post) guide to maintaining a high quality of life—from resilient old age to the first inklings of a serious illness to the final breath—by the New York Times bestselling author of Knocking on Heaven’s Door is a “roadmap to the end that combines medical, practical, and spiritual guidance” (The Boston Globe).
