Look Closely: Flower Sunday

Bring a flower, or a bunch! In this tradition, practiced by Unitarian Universalists for 101 years, we celebrate the beautiful variety among us and gratefully receive a flower that someone else has brought. We will look closely at the flowers as a mindfulness practice we engage in together. Folks attending online, the closer you can bring viewers to your flower, the better: either by holding a flower very close to your camera when we get to that part of the service, or by changing your Zoom profile or virtual background to a photo of a flower.

Many UUCPA folks and other Unitarian Universalists say that this is their favorite service of the year, so if you’ve been thinking of introducing a friend to what we’re all about, this is a great Sunday for it. And of course, you and they can stay for Second Sunday Lunch.

Worship leaders: Revs. Amy Zucker Morgenstern (she/her or they/them) and Catherine Boyle (she/her)

Special music: Veronika Agranov-Dafoe, piano

Brett Trace (they/them) from Outlet, our May Justice Partner, will tell us what our contributions do for teens in the community.

You can follow along in the order of service, bit.ly/uucpa_oos_20240512.
