In our annual, intergenerational Chalice Sunday service, we learn about the origin of our flaming chalice, and some of the traditions that are celebrated on this day, such as Candlemas, St. Brigid’s Day, and Imbolc. On this Chalice Sunday, we’ll be asking ourselves: what is a flame that has been passed to me for my safekeeping? What will I do to keep it alive? How will I pass it forward?
We’ll light candles to symbolize that flame within, and close our time together by sharing our answers to those questions. Deborah St. Julien will be here from our February justice partner, Showing Up for Racial Justice.
Worship leaders: Revs. Amy Zucker Morgenstern and Cat Boyle
